El Centro de Recursos para la Educación de Adultos (CREA) está diseñado con el único propósito de desarrollar y mejorar las habilidades y el conocimiento de los inmigrantes adultos de habla hispana en la comunidad de East Harlem. CREA ofrece educación básica en español (alfabetización, primaria y secundaria) a adultos inmigrantes que tenían poca o ninguna educación formal en sus países de origen. Además, el programa ofrece clases de inglés como segundo idioma (ESL) con el propósito de lograr el dominio del idioma a fin de mejorar sus propias vidas y las vidas de sus hijos.
The Resource Center for Adult Education (CREA) is designed for the sole purpose of developing and improving the abilities and knowledge of the Spanish-speaking adult immigrants in the East Harlem community. CREA offers Basic Education in Spanish (literacy, elementary, and middle school) to immigrant adults who had little or no formal education in their countries of origin. In addition, the program offers classes in English as a Second Language (ESL) to achieve proficiency in the English Language. These services address the educational gaps of Latino adults living in the East Harlem community so that they can improve their own lives and the lives of their children.
